Why monitor site email sending limits? Print

  • 0

WPhost has partnered with Sendgrid to handle email sent by your site. We work in tandem with email infrastructure providers to ensure email deliverability and prevent valid messages from ending up in a spam folder.

Because mail is routed through our partner services, emails are not sent from your site's IP address. Instead, they’re sent from a pool of IP addresses hosted by our providers, which our operations team actively monitors for performance and reputation.

Due to the shared nature of these email IP addresses, it’s unlikely but still possible that they can end up on spam blacklists, which may temporarily prevent mail deliverability from your site. If that happens, our team is notified and intervenes.

All outgoing mail from your site passes through a spam filtering system that looks for key signs of malicious activity before it's ever sent on to our partner email servers. To make sure that the IP addresses are in good standing, we set daily email limits to protect your site from sending spam campaigns.

If you expect a spike in email, anticipate going over your limit or find your site is no longer sending email please contact our support team.
